Turned after a historic find in Luebeck, Germany. These bowls are very cute and have been around for a long time. I guess they have some 'hand fasting' connotation as it is easy to pass a bowl with so many little handles around.
I love turning bowls that have so much history to them and it always seems like a time-travel when on the lathe and making a copy of an original that was turned hundreds of years ago.
Living history!
Turned from Alder, it measure 12cm bowl and 17cm with star.
