Turned from spalted Beech on my foot-powered bowl lathe.
I studied japanes bowl design for a while and felt inspired to make my own. I turned a relatively high foot, so it lifts the bowl of the table visibly. Then, I turned a taper towards the point where the foot meets the base of the bowl resulting in a V shape. I quite like the aesthetics of this. Finally, there is some decoration carved into the upper part of the walls.
These are around 16cm x 8cm eating bowls. I would use them for soup, salad, ramen or breakfast cereals.

Please wash with warm soapy water just as you would wash regular dishes. Drip dry or towel dry, both works.
